How We Started

The Beginning

Worldwide Thrift began with one woman, a vision, and a heart for her community. I saw too many families struggling  parents working hard but still coming up short, children missing meals, and communities lacking the resources to thrive. I knew I couldn’t just watch and hope for change… I had to be part of it.

With faith, determination, and the belief that small acts of kindness could lead to big transformation, I started gathering donations, feeding families, and offering a helping hand wherever it was needed.

The First Steps

It wasn’t easy. We didn’t have a large budget or a fancy building  just a mission. Every meal we delivered, every coat we gave out, and every conversation we had built momentum. We learned how to stretch every dollar, partner with caring individuals, and make a big impact with limited resources.

We started with food deliveries, then grew into clothing donations, and eventually expanded to programs that would change lives long-term:

  • Food distribution for those facing food insecurity.
  • Grant programs to help people start businesses, further their education, or get through hard times.
  • Mentorship for youth and adults, offering guidance, training, and real opportunities.
  • Community development projects to create safer, stronger neighborhoods.

The Garden of Enid

As we grew, I dreamed bigger. I wanted a space to not only feed people, but also teach them how to grow their own food and build sustainable futures. That dream became The Garden of Enid  an urban farm and botanical garden for education, community workshops, and hands-on learning.

We added goats, started growing potatoes, and began building a vision of self-sufficiency and community pride. The Garden became more than land — it became a living classroom for hope and empowerment.

Where We Are Now

Today, Worldwide Thrift operates 100% online, making it easy for us to pick up donations, drop off food, and connect with people no matter where they are. We’ve partnered with families, businesses, and other organizations to multiply our reach  and we’re just getting started.

Our Vision for the Future

We see a future where every person in our community has access to:

  • Nutritious food.
  • The tools to earn a living.
  • Mentorship and support to achieve their goals.
  • Safe, thriving neighborhoods they’re proud to call home.

We started with almost nothing and built something worth fighting for. With your support, we can go even further.

This isn’t just our story… it’s the beginning of yours too. Join us.
